Last Sunday, we wrapped up the “Girls for Climate Action” camp in Lankaran. The camp was organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Azerbaijan, with the support of the COP29 Azerbaijan Youth Climate Champion and our Forest School Azerbaijan team. It was an intense and inspiring few days, filled with girls from all corners of Azerbaijan gaining knowledge and skills to combat climate change.
For me, it was a unique experience where I was able to apply my knowledge and skills in various areas. Organizing such a large-scale event is always a challenge, but it’s also an incredible opportunity for growth and development. I got to be a project manager, a finance specialist, handled logistics, created media content, and much more! It was a lot of work, but it was worth it.
This camp marked our fifth joint project with UNFPA, and I’m proud to say that our team is getting stronger. Together, we can achieve anything!
