At the end of last week, the Forest School Azerbaijan team embarked on a self-organized expedition to Karabakh – a region rich in history and natural beauty. We returned with tons of visual content, and I’m excited to start sharing it piece by piece.
Our journey began in the Fuzuli district, driving along the Victory Road (Zəfər Yolu). Along the way, we made several important stops: the old military post marking the former Line of Contact – the so-called “Ohanyan Line,” the new Fuzuli International Airport, and a riverside park at Köndələnçay. Near Fuzuli, we witnessed the striking contrast between the ruins of the old city and the construction of a modern new one. Our next stop was Hadrut, surrounded by breathtaking mountains.
More stories and photos are coming soon.
On a personal note, I’m proud to say that this trip marks a milestone: I have now visited every single region of Azerbaijan – including Nakhchivan – over the past five years.
